My brother and I decided to grab a bite to eat en route to Chico from Elk Grove and the menu at Big Mommas sounded appeasing. Parking was easy to find directly in front of or very close to the restaurant itself. We were immediately greeted and both employees were friendly and polite. I opted for their double bacon cheeseburger and my brother decided on their hot link sandwich. The food came out in a timely manner. The bacon cheeseburger didn't disappoint. My brother said the hot link didn't as much kick as he would've liked. We both agreed the portion of French fries served was pretty skimpy and neither of us are big on huge portions. They were tasty but I would've ordered some on the side had I known that and we were short on time heading out to the event we were attending. It was the epitome of an old school mom and pop diner or restaurant. I'm not in the area very often, but I'd definitely stop in again.
Great Catfish, & coleslaw friendly service I have not tried the ribs yet but the Cat-fish is worth the drive.
Oh My Gosh... They've outdone themselves with their Pulled Pork Sandwich and Fries. The presentation was glorious with the Pepper "Relish"(?) spread over the meat in a perfectly toasted roll. The meat was the tender, smoky and Abundant!! The Pepper Relish was Superb. The fries were cooked to perfection with just a hint of salt. DELICIOUS! I could only eat HALF of this Feast! I'd travel a long way to get this sandwich again!!!
